Artist Statement
MIURA Isako studied rozome under the supervision of her father, MIURA Kageo, and early in her career was widely recognized through numerous awards. Her commonplace subject matter and materials combine to suggest a world of fantasy, and she frequently employs flowers and animals from unusual and unconventional angles. She is an active member of the Kyoto Art and Craft Artists Association.
